ONE CATALOG. EVERY SURFACE.
Limen is a restaurant operations platform for the US market. Every order surface, from the counter to the kiosk to the table to the phone, runs on one catalog and one order pipeline. The brand owns the catalog. A location is a filter on it, not a copy of it.
The board disagrees with the register.
A price changes at the register and the menu board still shows last week’s. An item runs out and the QR page keeps selling it. Every surface holds its own copy of the menu, so every change is entered as many times as there are screens.
That is not a sync problem. It is a catalog problem.
One catalog, seven surfaces.
Authoring happens once, in the back office. Publishing produces one document. Every surface reads that document.

Inheritance is resolved at publish time, not at runtime. A surface never has to work out what applies to it.
The surfaces.
POS
Point of sale. Staff take orders, apply discounts, and close payments. Order type, tax, and revenue attribution are handled at the point of entry.
Kiosk
Self-order kiosk. Guests browse, customize, and pay without staff assistance in the language they choose. The kiosk owns the amount for the entire payment flow.
KDS
Kitchen display. Orders arrive as prep items, routed by station, with live status and sequencing.
Signage
Digital signage. Menu boards and promotions publish from the same catalog as every other surface, so the board never disagrees with the register.
Table ordering
Guests order from the table and keep ordering through the meal without flagging down staff.
QR mobile ordering
Guests scan, order, and pay from their own phone. No app install.
Voice phone ordering
Phone orders enter the same pipeline as every other channel instead of being re-keyed by hand.
Built for quick service, cafes, and casual restaurants.
The amount never leaves the kiosk.
Card present payments through an integrated terminal. Tip is selected on the terminal, and the amount returns to the kiosk for final confirmation.
Tax is calculated by Limen, not by the terminal. State, county, and city rates combine per order type, so the rate follows the order, not the device.
The terminal can compute tax and surcharges on its own. Limen turns that off. Two systems computing the same tax is how a receipt ends up wrong.
Where the limits are.
Two things Limen does not do, and why.
No facial recognition.
Biometric identification of guests is out of scope, by design, not by omission.
Software only.
Limen runs on off the shelf hardware. No proprietary terminals, no hardware lock in.
